The advice is priceless, as after a minute or so I was able to push down that white thingy in the sponge thing on the right and the printer came back So the outer shell comes off ??? any other solutions? A Pixma MP830 would still be under Canon warranty, get it into a shop and save yourself the hassel. navigate here

I gave it a try but concluded that getting to whatever had locked the carriage would entail major disassembly to the point that I would be better off taking it in Canon Printer Error 6a00 Mp610 I disconnected AC cord and reconnected, nothing. So the wiper could not seat all of the way. Sony A600 Don't force anything. Doing printhead cleans wastes ink but its an important part.Do a test print of a small amount of text in different colours.

Didn't have to pull it apart just kept reading this page until I found the problem. Thanks so much for your guidance, but i was afraid to pull this sponges out for cleaning. When I turn it on, it sounds like it is trying to move the print cartridge unit but then I get the error and nothing from there!Any suggestions would be appreciated.Thanks. Just put that part number in your search engine and voila you will find many places on line that have them.Incidently Canon authorized repair facilities will repair these units for free
