Thanks a lot. I want to multi scan photos. One of the recommended solutions was to make sure a certain folder path is in your PATH environment variable. Solved my problem.

The only difference was my TWAIN file path, I had to add this to my PATH setting: C:\Windows\twain_32\CNQL25 After a reboot, my CanoScan LIDE 25 is working once more. I have a Canon CanoScan 4400F Scanner and the other day I was unable to get it to work. Unable To Open Twain Source Canoscan Lide 500f I've had this scanner for a couple of years - and encountered this problem for the first time today (of course, when I needed it to work urgently). Have been puzzling since then (though still able to acquire scans through Photoshop so thought problem was Toolbox rather than driver). Doesn't your CanoScan Toolbox look like the one shown below?
